The barbules on these feathers make the best material for tails on nymphs and dry flies. Their sheen gives a highly natural, insect-like quality and the shades of corzuno or indio allow you to provide an imitative, mottled accent to your flies.

Please note: These feathers are all simply variations on a theme, and there is a lot of blurring between the lines of what might make a Corzuno pattern regular enough to be an Achoncado and vice versa. Perfect examples of any one pattern are uncommon and a package is often something of a blend between two patterns and which to call it is a subjective call made by the sorter. Rest assured that the fish can’t tell the difference. 🙂
